John (Jonno) Lewis - Plein Air
My artwork is landscape - impressionist, abstract and surreal. I work mainly in oils, but sometimes I use acrylic for speed and bold colour.
I use stretched canvas, canvas on board, and gesso board.
All my paintings begin with a Plein Air or outdoors experience, but they are not always finished outdoors. As all Plein Air painters do,I chase the nuances of changing colour and light in the world around us. However, I am also interested in our contemporary relationship to nature through urbanisation, industrial farming and climate change.
My series of five paintings "What Lies Beneath" began with exposed tree roots one autumn day on a bank of the beautiful Goulburn River near Shepparton in northern Victoria. I then imagined how that landscape might change over extended time if we keep doing the same things we are doing today.
Some paintings come from memory, some from dreams and some from direct observation, but they are all rooted in the same way I approach nature - with reverence and wonder.

How? A platform built from the ground up to minimise operational costs, so easy to use that only the most basic computer experience is required. One that will NEVER charge a commission on sales, running completely off loyal members' fees, client and customer experience, and a whole lotta care factor. TIme to get back to simple. Time to get it right."

Vinnie has been involved in the custom development of E-commerce and complex integration software systems for many years, growing with the technology as it has exploded in recent times. In order to create a platform that doesn't require a huge team or major costs to run day to day is in no way easy, especially with Sean pushing hard to simplify every step for the client and end user.
This will be the third platform they've partnered on, each conceived to support creatives and community in different ways, and each approaching the problems with a fresh approach and super solid tech.
